At first glance, St. Patrick’s Day lacks the glitz and romantic glam of Valentine’s Day, or even Christmas. “Santa Baby,” anyone?
On second glance, however, there’s more than meets the eye with a holiday best known for parties, parades and drunkenness. There is a way to add the romantic flame to St. Patrick’s Day.
We’d like to take a non-traditional approach, kind of like our style, to share a few ways you can add romance, FOXERS approved, to this holiday.
Today, we’re sharing a two-part post, one that offers hacks on how to add romance to St. Patrick’s Day. The second that takes our classic boxer brief, and shares items that can be stored in their pockets.
And no worries, even if you opt for Guinness instead of more romantic pastures, all of this information can work for any version of March 17 th.
Let us begin with a few way to add a little love to St Patrick’s Day this year with the boo, the snookums, the honey, the bae:
- 1.Check the local calendar of events for an exciting outing. Some people like parades. Other people like concerts. Others like festivals. There will be so much happening this weekend wherever you are, even in a nearby city, that you should have your pick of events to attend. Opt for one that you find fun, one that both you and your partner will enjoy.
- 2.Make an Irish-themed meal. You don’t necessarily have to leave the house, apartment, condo. You can make a meal at home with your partner. A few Irish dishes are Irish stew, boxty and coddle. Traditional desserts include Carrageen moss pudding , Porter cake , Irish coffee . Google is a good place to start for more ideas.
- 3.Write funny-cute-lusty limerick poetry. It will be a little scandalous, but for the right reasons. Limerick poems originate in Ireland and have a reputation for being humorous and bawdy. They have five lines with an interesting rhyme scheme to add to the poem’s unique quality (AABBA—each A line rhymes, each B line rhymes). Once you try this, have your partner read your poem. Or better yet, read it aloud. And prepare to have a raucous good time.
- 4.Hide a pot o’ gold. Get some chocolate gold coins from a party store and hide them around the house. Gamify your life with a little hide-and-seek, each person hiding the coins and playing a round or two, and with a holiday twist, in lingerie.
With each of these ideas that add a dash of romance to St. Patrick’s Day, we also suggest adding the added touch with one of our lingerie pieces— lace boxers, camisole cropped or full, boy shorts . All in Kelly Green.
And we love the boys, and stock classic boxer briefs for men, in Lime Green.
March 17th can be more than initially meets the eye. Add some charm and romance this year with one (or more) of these ideas. Even an idea of your own. And don’t forget to wear FOXERS, whichever idea you choose.
